As an adult music student, you collaborate with your teacher to define your goals and path to success. Whether revisiting your instrument or picking one up for the first time, you will join our current two hundred adult students who experience the rewards of studying music. Taking on a new creative challenge is a great change of pace. From there, joining a group, playing on a recital, or just enjoying practicing is a reward in itself. This is your journey, and we will be with you every step of the way.
The Art of Performance - with Pianist and Host Rita Moerschel
Join us for Art of Performance sessions each year as a performer or audience member. This is a unique opportunity exclusively for ANMS Adult Students. Learn from watching fellow musicians and chat with other Adult Students following each ‘Art of Performance’ gathering.

Attend as an audience member: All are invited to join as audience members. You often learn a great deal about performing while watching others on their journey. We encourage all students and music lovers to attend.

CHESTNUT ORCHESTRA
Looking for a relaxed easy-going group that will nurture your musical soul? Learn the classics. No auditions. Please e-mail Conductor Gary Fox at garyf@allnewton.org with name, instrument, and telephone number. Chestnut Orchestra adds members throughout the year.

CHAMBER ENSEMBLES
Chamber music is a great way to reinforce musical skills learned in the private lesson. Experience the delight of connecting with fellow student musicians as you play together throughout the year.
ADULT BANDs (Rock, Pop, Jazz)
*Guitar, Bass, Percussion, Keys, Voice, Winds, Brass, Violin* Bands are organized according to the level of experience and instrumentation. All band equipment is provided by the school, except for guitars. There are performance opportunities throughout the year.
