Frequently Asked Questions
-
A: We feel that having only one or two trial lessons is too short of a time for new teachers & students to establish a working relationship, and for the instructor to create a curriculum designed around the specific needs and goals of the student.
While we don’t offer trial lessons, we do have a three-week trial period to ensure a good placement for new students. If after the third lesson, and before the fourth, you need to make any changes to your registration, give us a call and we can work to make any adjustments necessary or refund the remaining lessons in the semester.

A: No - all lessons and classes take place at our school, located at 321 Chestnut St in West Newton.
-
A: All students are guaranteed one ‘for-any-reason’ private lesson make-up per semester. We designate an extra day at the end of the semester as a make-up day that many instructors and families utilize for their make-up lesson. Students are guaranteed one make-up lesson for each instructor absence. In the event that instructor absences are unable to be made up, please reach out to the registration team to discuss refund options.
Instructors will do their best to accommodate student absences due to holidays outside the academic calendar, however, instructors are not required to make these lessons up.
There are no makeups for students who miss group classes. Click here to submit an absence form.

A: Our academic calendar lists the first day, last day, and make-up dates for private lessons on each day of the week. We generally follow the Newton Public Schools academic calendar. As we observe holidays and have school closures throughout the year, please note that lessons on different days of the week may start and end in different weeks.
Group class start and end dates may not align with the first and last days of the academic calendar. Please contact us if you have questions regarding group class start & end dates.
