Musical Memory Café

All Newton’s Musical Memory Café is an informal social gathering for people with cognitive changes and their care partners that meets every second Tuesday of the month, 1:30-3pm. Guests are welcome regardless of diagnosis. Attendees can connect with fellow community members while enjoying a musical performance by some of All Newton Music School's outstanding faculty—tea, coffee, and treats to follow!

This free event is hosted and facilitated by board certified music therapist Cheyenne Mize and co-hosted by pianist Kim Petot, and features a different special musical guest each week. Join us in making a joyful noise!

  • This Café will feature special guest Theo Ramsey.

    Theo Ramsey is a violinist and violist who performs throughout New England with ensembles including the Boston Lyric Opera, the Rhode Island Philharmonic, and the New Bedford Symphony. Theo is also a member of the Grossman Ensemble, in residence at the University of Chicago, which commissions, records, and premieres twelve new works by living composers each year. Theo loves teaching at ANMS and has been a member of the faculty since 2022.

  • This Café will feature special guest CJ Waldrop.

    CJ is a trumpet player and singer from South Carolina. He completed a Master’s Degree in Trumpet at Boston Conservatory studying classical playing, but musical theater, jazz, and a cappella singing also influence his performance. He lives in Brighton, teaching and performing in the Greater Boston area.
